"Your domain name is being used by someone else" error

I was using my domain name on my other account and my other account was suspended for no reason. Now I want to use the domain I used on that account on this account, but I can’t disconnect it from there. I did what it said in the support forum I attached the link to.

Can you help me please? I created a ticket for open my other account and I didn’t receive a response.

@cgrcavusoglu It’s not an automated process, although I made a feature request for it to be so.

To solve your issue:

  • Ensure you really have followed the guide that you’ve linked
  • The value should be:
    https://answers.netlify.com/t/your-domain-name-is-being-used-by-someone-else-error/123687
  • Provide the domain name

Once the team know the domain name, and that you’ve added it, they’ll check, and if it matches they’ll remove the domain from whatever other accounts it may be in.

Sometimes you can just join in someone else’s thread, but in this case you need the URL that is generated by the forum, as it’s what you set as the TXT value on your domain.
