I signed up using a GitHub account; however, after receiving a verification email and clicking on it, I ran into a message stating:

We were unable to verify your identity and reinstate your Netlify account."
I am unsure why my identity could not be verified and would appreciate any guidance on resolving this issue. I am a starter user with no subscription, so I cannot access direct support.
