Hi Netlify team,
I own beckybcoaching.com, registered at Porkbun. I am trying to add it to my project but I am blocked by an orphaned Netlify DNS zone that lives on a team I cannot access.
Details:
Domain: beckybcoaching.com
My site: elaborate-daifuku-2a5d52.netlify.app
My team: beckybcoaching (slug: beckybcoaching-g0pogd0)
My account email: beckybcoaching at gmail
Error when adding the domain in Domain management:
“beckybcoaching dot com or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team.”
What I believe happened: some time ago I connected this domain to a Netlify site using Netlify DNS, and I later deleted that site. The DNS zone was never removed. The nameservers at Porkbun still point to Netlify:
dns1.p05.nsone.net
dns2.p05.nsone.net
dns3.p05.nsone.net
dns4.p05.nsone.net
The SOA still shows domains+netlify at netlify.com, but the zone has no A record for the apex and www does not resolve at all, so the domain currently goes nowhere.
What I have already checked: my team switcher shows only one team, beckybcoaching, and its DNS page lists no zones at all. I have tried signing in with three different Google accounts and one email/password account and cannot find the account that holds the zone.
Could you please release or delete that orphaned DNS zone so I can add the domain to my current team? I am happy to prove ownership however you prefer, including adding a TXT record at Porkbun with any value you specify, or sharing account details privately.
