There have been at least 3 significant outages this month alone, 2 in the last week. I’m now under pressure to move away from Netlify because of this, our websites can’t go down every 1-2 weeks during peak times (or ideally ever).
Is there an official comment on this, or some way to get confidence this frequency of outages isn’t going to continue?

We definitely understand where you’re coming from. We acknowledge this has been a challenging time for our platform’s reliability, and we are actively and holistically working to improve stability of our entire platform, with several teams of senior staff focusing solely on this as of last week. It is receiving the highest of priorities.
While we strive to maintain uptime across all of our services, our Enterprise customers additionally have an SLA guarantee. If you require that higher service level, our Enterprise tier may be right for you. I am happy to ask someone here to contact you if you want to learn more.
