Urgent: Unusual Bandwidth Consumption Despite Low Click Rate – Request for Investigation

Hi Netlify Support Team,

I’m reaching out to request urgent help regarding an unexpected and sharp increase in bandwidth usage on our pro account.

Over the past week, our site has been receiving around 3 to 4 million impressions per day, yet we are only seeing about 3,000 actual clicks per day. Despite this low interaction rate, we have noticed a dramatic surge in bandwidth, peaking at 69.9 GB on August 4th, as shown in the attached screenshot from our Netlify dashboard.

This disproportionate data usage is deeply concerning, especially since we have not made any large deployments, added heavy assets, or run any unusual campaigns.

Could you kindly help us investigate the following?

  1. What specific assets or endpoints are consuming this excessive bandwidth?

  2. Is there any indication of malicious or automated traffic?

  3. Are there any best practices or protective measures we should implement immediately to avoid further unexpected data consumption?

We would appreciate any insights or logs you can provide. This issue is impacting our operations and costs, and we are keen to resolve it as soon as possible.
