Responsiveness on mobile devices disappears when forwarding new domain

Hello! I have a very specific issue.

I have a website which is responsive for both computer and mobile devices. Here’s the domain: https://sleepy-wescoff-f54df0.netlify.app/

I recently bought a new domain ( www.annaguerrini.com ) on GoDaddy, to which I forwarded it permanently (301). This keeps the site responsive but the domain name remains the old one somehow. But I want the custom domain name to remain equal and not forward to the old one.

I also tried to forward with masking, it does change the domain name above but loses all sense of responsiveness on mobile devices. I already looked it up and this creates a sort of iframe, I think, which I don’t understand and can’t seem to solve the problem.

I already called GoDaddy and they say that the problem can only be solved on Netlify’s end.

Is it possible to get some help? Thank you in advance!

Hi @annaguerrini

The best solution here is to configure annaguerrini.com as a custom domain for your site.

There are two options: using external DNS (so using GoDaddy to manage DNS) or using Netlify DNS (so using Netlify to manage DNS.) This will enable SSL on the domain (something it is currently missing)

If you have any issues or questions, please don’t hesitate to reply.
