I’m writing because my Netlify account was unexpectedly deleted without any prior notice or explanation. I had several personal dashboard projects associated with the account that are now gone. → it was registered to an email which I used now to login but didn’t work and when I used the gmail login method it created a new account with NO DASHBOARDS.
I have checked my email (including spam) and received no communication from Netlify regarding this action.
Could you please help me with the following:
The reason why my account was deleted
Whether any Terms of Service violation was involved, and if so, which one → all I had were personal dashboards regarding to do list (a small notion for everyday) etc. No phishing websites → one was even to revise for my Law exams in June.
Whether it is possible to restore my account and/or recover my projects → PLEASE PLEASE
I was not engaged in any activity that violates Netlify’s Terms of Service, and I believe this may have been a mistake. I am happy to provide any additional information needed to verify this.
Hi, @Carla1. First, it is likely that your previous account is still there. The most likely explanation for this is that you use GitHub, Google, or some other SSO method to login and the email address associated with the GitHub or Google account was a different email address than was used for your Netlify account.
If so, the Google/GitHub SSO login created a new account and your previous account is still there. So, we just need to find the email address associate with the original account. Once we find that email address, you can login using email address and password to access those sites again.
To do this, would you please let us know one of the URLs for the sites on the original account? If so, we can use it to find the correct email address to use to login.
Hi, @Carla1. It looks like the email address used for this support forum is in the form:
<first initial here>.<second initial here>.<last name here>@gmail.com
The email address use for login to the account where that site is is in this form:
<last name here><first name here>@gmail.com
Note, there are no dots in the second email address used. If you do not have a password to login using that email address, you can add a password with the password rest form here:
