Locked out of my gmail so my Netlify account can't send me my verification email

“My domain martinezconsultantllc.com is stuck in a Netlify account tied to my email that I no longer have access to. I am the verified domain owner account holder. I cab access my old email. Can you please help me sign back in or at the least switch my sign in email?

Hi, @cmairena. I believe you have run into this issue:

The solutions for this are found on the page above. The solution I would suggest is this:

  • revert the domain back to using your registrar’s DNS service which normally gets the email working again
  • then do the password reset process here: Netlify
  • then copy over the email DNS records from your registrar’s DNS service to the Netlify DNS zone
  • once that is done, reactivate the Netlify DNS zone by changing the authoritative name servers at the registrar back to the name servers for the DNS zone at Netlify

The other solution is to revert back to the registrar’s DNS service, delete the DNS zone at Netlify, and then use the external DNS instructions instead.

If that does not resolve the issue, please let us know.

Hey @luke, thanks for the response. The issue is I also can’t log in to Squarespace, with that email (which is the email I purchased the account under so I’m unable to revert the name servers or access the original DNS records.

Is there any workaround that lets me recover access to Netlify without needing to go through Squarespace?

Unfortunately, if you don’t have access to the email address associated with the Netlify account and you aren’t able to access the DNS records for the domain, there’s no way for us to verify ownership of the domain. You’ll need access to the DNS records in order to proceed.
