Delegating subdomain issue- name has conflicting custom domain in another account

Issue: Delegating only a subdomain through Netlify DNS while the apex domain is through Namecheap.

Details:

• netlify site: https://skimmands.netlify.app/
• subdomain: comms.skiesti.com
• apex domain: skiesti.com (points to a stripe website)
• Error: name comms.skiesti.com has a conflicting custom domain in another account

Dig (DNS lookup) shows ‘Record not found!’ when I check comms.skiesti.com (the apex domain appears as expected)

The subdomain should not be in use by anybody else besides myself, please release it so I can use it. Thanks
