Can’t remove domain from old site — “Access Denied” + DNS zone tied to wrong team
I’m trying to move my domain supportdicf.org from an old site to a brand-new site under a different account, so I can separate two organizations that were sharing one Netlify account.
- The domain was registered at Cloudflare, but its nameservers are delegated to Netlify’s own DNS.
- When I try to add supportdicf.org to my new site, I get: “supportdicf.org or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team.”
- When I go to the old site and try to remove the domain there instead, I get an “Access Denied” error on the confirmation dialog.
I’m the owner of both the old and new accounts. How can I release this domain’s DNS zone from the old team so I can add it to the new one? Happy to provide site names/URLs if that helps.
