Oh hey! Needing to set up Netlify DNS hosting for your domain alias? These three steps will show you how!
- If you haven’t already, first add the domain in Team dashboard > Domains and follow the instructions in [Support Guide] DNS Quick Start - How to set up DNS on how to use Netlify DNS to point your registrar name servers to Netlify.
- Check to see if the DNS changes you’ve made have fully propagated using a DNS check propagation tool like https://dnschecker.org/. It’s important that you wait until changes have fully propagated before proceeding to the next step!!
- Once DNS changes have fully propagated, add the domain alias to your site in Site dashboard > Domain management > Production domains. If all goes good, you should see a Netlify DNS badge next to it.
Congrats, you’ve successfully configured a domain alias using Netlify DNS!
