[solved] SSL stuck on ‘Currently provisioning’ with Netlify DNS (Let’s Encrypt)

My SSL/TLS certificate is stuck on “Currently provisioning your Let’s Encrypt certificate” for my site.

Site: guileless-treacle-02a209.netlify.app
Custom domain: 777168.xyz

I’m using Netlify DNS (nameservers dns1–4.p08.nsone.net), DNSSEC is disabled at Porkbun, and my Netlify DNS zone only has the two default NETLIFY records for apex and www.

The cog next to the SSL message is not clickable, and it has been in this state for more than 24 hours.

Let’s Debug reports “All OK” for the domain and the DNS records are propagated globally according to https://dnschecker.org/#NS/777168.xyz

Can you check why the certificate request is stuck and re‑issue it?

It’s reminiscent of these two (and others):

to the second of which Netlify replied: “There was an issue that you could not have resolved but our support team was able to do so using internal-only tools.”

I’m hoping the same can be done for me? Thanks in advance.

This was solved after contacting Netlify Support :folded_hands:

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out.

I can confirm that DNS propagation is indeed incomplete across some geographic locations which was causing the SSL issuance to be stuck. I’ve performed a DNS resync and repair, and the updated records are now propagating globally. I have then initiated an SSL reissuance and this time it successfuly went through. I am able to access the site securely now on my end.

Do let me know if you need further asssistance.

Best regards,
