SSL certificate Issuance problem

The SSL certificate issuance for a website I deployed has been stuck on “Currently provisioning your Let’s Encrypt Certificate” for a little over 3 months now. After having an extensive conversation with the Ask Netlify generative AI, I was advised to discuss the problem here.

Here is a summary of the troubleshooting steps I’ve already taken so far:

  1. Verified DNS propagation globally using DNSChecker.org — Netlify name servers are confirmed propagated worldwide

  2. Checked DNS records — only two correct NETLIFY-type records exist:

    • egodiuchendu.orgegodiuchendu.netlify.app

  3. Checked for CAA records — none exist that would block Let’s Encrypt from provisioning a certificate

  4. Confirmed using Netlify DNS — name servers are managed through Netlify, not Go54

  5. Certificate has been stuck on “Currently provisioning your Let’s Encrypt certificate” for several months with no “Renew certificate” option available in the dashboard

  • Site name: egodiuchendu.netlify.app

  • Custom domain: egodiuchendu.org

  • DNS type: Netlify DNS
