I’m happy to announce that it finally worked! 
After several failed attempts, what finally worked was simply renaming the site.
I already had pushed changes that weren’t automatically deployed as usual, then I changed the site name and Voilá! the changes were deployed. So I changed the name back and tried another test push which deployed as well. I’m extremely overjoyed by this, thank you @coelmay @kylesloper @hrishikesh @perry for your help, I really appreciate it.
