We are experiencing a major connectivity issue affecting Netlify-hosted websites from Egypt.
Multiple users across different cities in Egypt and across different ISPs (WE, Vodafone, Orange, and Etisalat) are unable to access Netlify-hosted websites without using a VPN.
The issue affects multiple Netlify sites, including both custom domains and Netlify-hosted domains. DNS resolution appears to work correctly, but users experience connection timeouts when attempting to access the sites directly from Egypt. The same websites become immediately accessible when using a VPN.
We have also found multiple recent reports from other Netlify customers describing the same behavior and referencing the same Netlify edge IP ranges.
This appears to be a regional connectivity, routing, or edge infrastructure issue affecting traffic originating from Egypt rather than an issue with any individual website configuration.
Could your team please investigate and confirm whether there is an ongoing issue affecting access to Netlify-hosted websites from Egypt?
Any updates, mitigation steps, or temporary workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
