Max load vs bandwidth?

I’m developing a campaign website hosted on Netlify, which might have tens of thousands of visitors at once, upon release. Normally a web host wouldn’t handle massive load/traffic out of the box, one would have to upgrade dynos, bandwidth etc. Am I right in assuming that Netlify should support “any” load (planet-scale?), it just costs more, the more bandwidth it entails?

That’s exactly right, @thomaslg!

If you’re expecting thousands of views per second, a head’s up isn’t a bad idea (especially if you’re on a Starter plan as heavy usage for our Starter users is usually malicious and we may treat it as so).
