Hi Netlify Support,
I’m using Netlify DNS for adp.at
and adpartners.at
and after changing email provider last week there have been intermittent issues where some emails were not sent or successfully received. The DNS changes have been made over 72 hours ago, so DNS propagation should not be the issue and from what I can tell, the DNS entries for the email provider seem to be set correctly and show up using dig/MXtoolbox/DNS Checker.
To resolve this, I tried “Ask Netlify”, but the proposed steps such as checking DNS propagation did not help. At this point, I am not fully sure where to look for the cause, but MXtoolbox/DNS Checker give some unconvincing errors, so I would greatly appreciate it if you could take a look at what is going on. Could the issue be on the Netlify side?.
MXtoolbox (adp.at Domain Health) reports the error “Primary Name Server Not Listed At Parent”. I think the cause for this is the same as DNS errors Primary Name Server Not Listed At Parent, the whois adp.at
name server order differs from the order I get on DNS Checker (DNS Lookup - Check All DNS Records for Any Domain). Could that be an issue for email delivery?
DNS Checker (Domain DNS Health Checker - Check DNS, Blacklist, Email, MX Health) reports that the SOA records cannot be found, but I am not sure if that could be the cause since dig +noall +answer adp.at SOA
does return adp.at. 1408 IN SOA dns1.p01.nsone.net. domains+netlify.netlify.com. 1729694163 43200 7200 1209600 3600
.
Thank you for your help!
