Hey there! This happens from time to time. Please follow these instructions to refresh your Github SSO:
Once this is done, you should be able to log into Netlify using GitHub or the email address. Both methods of login should work now. If they do not or if there are any other questions, please let us know.
Hi, Sorry to bother you but this doesn’t work for me. I get stuck on the load animation on login. Peaked into my console and saw a bunch of js errors.
react.vendor.bundle.js:56 Error: attribute width: Unexpected end of attribute. Expected length, “”.
Hi, your account was automatically marked as spam as an effort to crack down on potential fraudulent behaviour. Please see our VP of security response regarding this.
Luckily, you should now be able to verify yourself via stripe to unlock your account. Please try signing in again and follow the prompts to upload a copy of your ID so we can be sure you are legitimate. If you are not prompted to do this please submit a support ticket and mark the reason as “signup/login”. If you do not want to verify your ID you can upgrade to a Pro account and you will be able to bypass this step.
Oh my, that’s weird but okay. Stripe doesn’t cover my country though.
This is really stressful
What country are you listed in? They have an acceptable list of documents they accept here which covers many countries.
I’m from Nigeria. Luckily I only had one project hosted on my account. Stripe doesn’t work here. Thanks for the help though.
I’m still not sure why my netlify account got flagged. The only thing I’ve noticed lately is I get flagged when signing up for some services, not all btw. Is this a Linux thing? Or related to Mac addresses so I can avoid the issue when I sign up to netlify again? Thanks for your time🙂
Hi, I see stripe does accept documentation from Nigeria. Anywho to ensure this doesn’t happen again at least on netlify I’d recommend you upgrade your account to a Pro tier. Also sometimes you can get flagged if you have a lot of accounts from the same IP address, if you are using a VPN, if your email was created too recently etc.
Hi,
I’m also having this issue - I get the authentication error when trying to login with github. So I tried creating a password with my email, but using that causes the loading spinner to run continuously.
Hi thanks for your patience and welcome to the community. We have been able to verify your account. You can now access our platform.
Hi, thanks for that. Do you have any solutions to my problem on Netlify?
Hi what problem are you still experiencing? Can you share a screenshot?
I continuously get the loading spinner when trying to login with email.
And I get the get the error message displayed when logging in using Github.
Hi okay please try again.
I have the same problem, is your problem solved?
Thanks for letting us know about the login issue with GitHub, @Zdn . The solution for this issue is as follows:
Login to Netlify using the email address and password only.
Once logged into Netlify with the email address and password, then change the GitHub account associated with this email address here: https://app.netlify.com/user/settings#connected-accounts
Log out of Netlify.
Once this is done, you should be able to log into Netlify using GitHub or the email address. Both methods of login should work now. If they do not or if there are any other questions, please let us know.
same here ! how can i change my password though I don’t have access to mt account !this is shameful for months you did not fix this
Hi, @mannahub89. You are being rude:
There is nothing to fix because was broken before. This was user error and not a bug at Netlify.
If you cannot login, you can reset the password here:
https://app.netlify.com/login/forgot-password
If you still cannot login, please open a support ticket.
