Dear Netlify Support Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to seek assistance with an issue I encountered during my recent attempt to register for a Netlify account using my GitHub account.
I have never registered for a Netlify account before. Today, I went through the registration process, which involved using my GitHub account for login. After successfully completing the email verification and identity verification steps, which included uploading identification documents, I received an email stating “Identity Verification Complete. Your identity verification was successful.”
However, when I tried to log in, I encountered an error. The error message I received is as follows:
Authentication Error
Authenticating failed due to the following error: We already have a registered user with this email address. Log in to connect your GitHub account.
I am confident that this is my first time registering with Netlify, and I do not believe there has been any mistake on my part. I am unable to understand why the system indicates that there is already a registered user with my email address.
I kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and provide guidance on how I can successfully log in to my newly created Netlify account or connect my GitHub account as intended. My email address is byronjia@gmail.com for your reference.
Thank you in advance for your time and help. I look forward to your prompt response.
Best regards,
Byron
