I spoke to the “Ask Netlify” about an issue I’m having with email notifications not going through for my domain webmail. It works perfectly fine for my GMail. The chat AI bot suspected the email was on a hard bounce list and suggested reaching out to support to get this resolved.
Thanks for reaching out and welcome to Netlify’s Support Forums!
Also thanks for providing so much details of the issue. I did check and do see that the email address was on the Hard Bounce list. I’ve cleared it and you should be set. Please try again and let us know if you continue to have issues.
The Issue
I too am having similar issues, where I am receiving form submissions on my Netlify dashboard but not receiving any emails for the submissions despite having the notification settings configured appropriately.
Peculiarly however, the only forms where there are notification problems are my dynamically generated forms.
Hi Owen, I was attempting to put in a test submission on Booking Retreat • Unveil Your True Self, but the Submit button won’t click. I filled in all the required sections. Can you please look into your code and see if the button is functioning for you?
Thanks for clarifying, I missed that from the original post.
I looked into this issue with a couple of co-workers, we check to ensure that none of the email addresses listed on the Forms notification page for those forms were on the hardbounce list. None of them were. We also checked our logs, and are not seeing email deliveries for those emails addresses for those specific forms. However, we do see that emails were delivers to the same addresses on other forms. This leads us to believe there’s an issue with the forms code itself.
Could you compare the form code on the non-working form (forms that aren’t sending the notifications) matches the code used for a working form?
Also if you could try changing the name=“From” to a different name such as name=“Date-From” in this section:
I have changed the input name to be “Date-From” and notified my CMS team that the name “from” is reserved. This has done the trick. I appreciate the help from the both of you.
One last thing, I received form submissions under the names (BB) and (ST) , was this you and your team testing out the forms?
Thanks for getting back and letting us know it worked.
I also used test in my form submission tested, I think BB was also used but I’m not sure about ST, but if it was around the same time as BB then it probably was. Apologies for the multiple test submissions, this one had use stumped for quite a bit.
I have this problem too. with 3 email addresses though. could you please check if I’m on the hard bounce list too? or what else could I do? thank you for your help!
Hi @Melvin ! I think I may be having the same problem. I see that my form submission was received, but I am not receiving the email notification. Could you see if moveit@brotherbearmovers.com is on the Hard Bounce list?
I’m having the same issue. I added another email to test and that worked, but I’m not receiving notifications on the main email I have up devin@vortexdry.com.
Can you please check if it’s on the hard bounce list?
I’m having a similar issue from my company account. My form successfully collects all the information I need it to, but the email notifications aren’t going through.
