"{domain name} or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team."

I am having the same issue.

Site name: https://zippy-sprinkles-fb2187.netlify.app/

Have added the DNS TXT record with this thread link.

Thank you

@Wishart_Frankfield I’ve removed the DNS Zone associated with that domain, you should now be successful in adding it to your account.

Hi, I’m also facing the same problem. getting error while trying to link domain to (https://cool-unicorn-d57e8b.netlify.app/) .
Getting error developers.am or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team.

Domain was managed by a previous engineer. but we are unable to contact him. could you help me out?

Please create a domain ownership verification TXT record as discussed in this support guide: [Support Guide] "another site is using this domain" Verifying domain ownership for Netlify production domain

Once we can verify domain ownership, we can remove it from the other account.

Hi there!

I appear to have this issue, as I deleted an account some weeks back with my domain but now need to add it back in, but I can’t.

Site name: https://jetsoms-co-uk.netlify.app/
Domain: https://jetsoms.co.uk

I have added the txt record outlined and will note this post.

Thank you!

thanks hrishikesh

i have the same problemn
my email pcviola.dev@gmail.com
I have another account at email pc7viola@gmail.com but I no longer have websites on it

@pc16 you’ll need to create a TXT record with the text linking to this thread.

but what value should the txt have?

just put the link to your post in txt field.

like that ?

Yes, but the TXT record needs to be verified-for-netlify.pauloviola.dev. Let us know when that is updated and we’ll take another look

ok, i put ‘‘verified-for-netlify.pauloviola.dev’’ right now

The DNS record in question does not exist at this time:

$ dig verified-for-netlify.pauloviola.dev TXT

; <<>> DiG 9.18.19 <<>> verified-for-netlify.pauloviola.dev TXT
;; global options: +cmd
;; Got answer:
;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 42238
;; flags: qr rd ra; QUERY: 1, ANSWER: 0, AUTHORITY: 1, ADDITIONAL: 1

; EDNS: version: 0, flags:; udp: 512
;verified-for-netlify.pauloviola.dev. IN	TXT

verified-for-netlify.pauloviola.dev. 900 IN SOA	ina1.registrar.eu. noreply.registrar.eu. 2016122000 10800 3600 604800 900

;; Query time: 232 msec
;; WHEN: Thu Dec 14 13:45:32 PST 2023
;; MSG SIZE rcvd: 125

The SOA record is returned when the requested record is missing. This is also clarified by the ANSWER: 0 in the response meaning there is no answer to the DNS query.

You can also test if the DNS record is working using a web based interface like the one below:

That page above currently says: " Record not found!"

Would you please double-check the DNS record and let us know when the link above works?
