I have 2 websites. one using the main domain. example.com which is hosted on Netlify along with the DNS. Another website is hosted on another platform using the subdomain sub.example.com.
My question is, Is my other website protected against DDOS attacks and other features provided by Netlify DNS management? because I wanted to use Cloudflare for my other website but it wants to transfer the whole DNS there, so if it is protected by Netlify then no need for me to use Cloudflare right?
Netlify DNS management, like the name says, manages only the DNS. Nothing more, nothing less. So there’s no such protection for sites hosted externally, using Netlify DNS.
