I want to add a custom domain techvysion.com to my netlify website https://techvysion.netlify.app/
I removed the domain from other account but it still showing the error “custom_domain is owned by another account”. Please help me.

Did you ensure it was removed from the site it was attached to via https://app.netlify.com/sites/SITE_NAME/settings/domain#custom-domains and also removed from Netlify DNS of the account via https://app.netlify.com/teams/TEAM_NAME/dns?
Yes the domain was removed from the previous site as well as from the previous account.
Hey @coelmay Have you found any solution for this? I watched many people having the same issue and getting resolved by forum members on same day or next.
My suggestion of checking the removal from both Domains and the site has in some cases resolved this issue. As you have checked this has occurred there is nothing further I am able to do.

@amverma1204t It appears the domain is still set up under your other Netlify account, amverma1204t, in the vysiontech site. You’ll need to remove the custom domain from that site before you can add it to your new one.

Yes, the domain is removed from site but not from the account->domains. That resolves the issue. Thank you @audrey @coelmay for the support.

I am having the same error for my domain jde.xyz … I did check on the team dns settings and all my sites dns settings but I can’t find the domain listed anywhere.
Would you mind checking it ?

The “jde.xyz” domain is set up under a different Netlify account, one owned by jeremyd*h*n. If you know this person, you can ask them to delete it from their account so you can use it on yours.
If you don’t know this person, please verify domain ownership and let us know by responding here when that’s done. If the verification is successful we can remove the domain from the other account so you can use it on yours.

Same thing is happening to me. My custom domain is ywallet.app, it was associated with ywdocs (that I deleted) and I would like to use it for ywapp.

Have you followed this guide and added the verification TXT record @hhanh00?
The domain is verified and currently deployed by netlify. However, somehow, it has been unassociated from the project. Since I couldn’t remove the custom domain, I deleted the whole project. But it is still considered in use.
