Can't login to my netlify account

hey @SamO , I have hosted a website on Netlify through GitHub and clearly mentioned that it is a clone website and not the original still my repo got marked and my Netlify account was suspended because of this. I can confirm that I didn’t do any spam work still my account has been banned. I request you to kindly help me recover my account. I am ready to go through the process. Please try to understand it has many projects hosted in it.

Hi @saran :wave:t6: please reach out to our fraud and abuse team here. Cloning sites is a form of copyright. This decision is unlikely to be overturned but you are welcome to reach out to the team and discuss your account.

thank you so much for this @SamO :slight_smile: I am not claiming that that website is mine. Many folks build clone sites for practice purposes and I did the same. I don’t think its a copyright worthy.

@saran The site hotlinks to real paytm assets on the paytm cdn and doesn’t mention that it isn’t a real paytm site.

Sure you’ve mentioned it on the repo itself, but when the page is hosted it looks official.

While what you currently have is non-functional and innocuous it’s a short hop from that to a phishing website.

I completely understand the situation here. I never knew that this can be a phishing site. I promise that once I get my account back I will remove any kind of link present there since it’s only a UI clone. Thank you!
