Assign subdomain to one Netlify site, but rest of domain to another

My site: https://silly-saha-774734.netlify.app/

I’m trying to assign a custom domain to the site above. I’d like it to be ‘wordle.slushman.com’.

I manage slushman.com at name.com and I’ve already created the CNAME record that points to the above site.

However, when try to assign a custom domain on the Netlify side of things, I get the following error:

" slushman.com is already registered. If you registered this domain name through a different registrar, select Add domain to begin delegating it to Netlify."

I have my main site (slushman.com) also hosted here at Netlify.

Am I able to assign that custom subdomain to this site? If so, what am I missing?

Hey @slushman

Yes, you can have a subdomain pointing to a different site than the apex domain.

If so, select the Add domain button and away you go :slight_smile:

Doh! I took “Add Domain” to mean something different based on the message above. Fixed and added. Thanks for your help.
