Apex domain stuck on “Awaiting External DNS” despite correct DNS records

Hi Netlify Support Team,

My site name is:

melodic-llama-66bc0b.netlify.app

I’m trying to connect my custom domain:

i-z.me

My primary domain is:

Everything works fine on www.i-z.me with SSL. But my apex domain i-z.me has been stuck for days on:

Awaiting External DNS

I’m getting this error in the browser when visiting https://i-z.me:

NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID

I have already:

:white_check_mark: Set my DNS records like this at Namecheap:

A Record

@ → 75.2.60.5

@ → 99.83.190.102

CNAME Record

www → melodic-llama-66bc0b.netlify.app

:white_check_mark: Confirmed DNS propagation globally via dnschecker

  • All regions resolve i-z.me correctly to 75.2.60.5 or 99.83.190.102.

:white_check_mark: Deployed a _redirects file. But the redirect cannot run because the apex domain has no SSL certificate yet.

:white_check_mark: Checked that DNSSEC is disabled at my registrar.

I’ve tried toggling primary domains in the UI to force a refresh, but the dashboard still shows:

Awaiting External DNS

Can you please manually trigger SSL provisioning or check why my apex domain is stuck?

Please delete the A record pointing to 99.83.190.102, it’s incorrect.
