Analytics: Daily stats for Pageviews & Unique visitors

We are now able to access accurate counts of your site’s daily unique visitors, so today we shipped an update to the Analytics UI to show Pageviews and Unique visitors at a daily resolution.

In order to make it clear exactly what time period the data covers, we added the time to the date range shown in the top right corner of each card.

We’ve also simplified the design of the chart labels and added clear ticks for each data point to help you explore the charts more easily.

Along with this change, the statistics shown in the hero card on your Analytics dashboard have been unified. You will now see the total value, instead of an hourly average, of your site’s unique visitors over the specified time period.

Any idea on when we will be able to customize the date range? I actually opened up devtools, saw the API calls, and was able to get it working just fine, but it would be nice if the UI supported it.

Hi George. Welcome to the Community!

The Analytics dashboard will currently always show data for 30 days in the past.
Once you enable the addon, we will gather data from up to 30 days in the past.
If your site is not 30 days old, values before the creation will be zero.

How much longer until you can customize date range? I am looking to go back to the previous month and I am unable to do it using the API endpoints that @cfjedimaster has mentioned. Have you revoked this access? If so, when will we be able to get some more info back?

Cheers.

Does my unofficial demo work for you? https://netlify-stats.raymondcamden.now.sh/

Wow @cfjedimaster , That’s incredible that you made your demo. I just enabled Netlify analytics. It mentions that it gathers analytics until your site is first live, but despite that, I am still only able to see the last 30 days.

Love your demo though. Seems like it might just be on Netlify’s side that prevents this from being seen.

Here is the blog post behind it in case you missed it.

The code is in a repo as well. You can fork and mod. I focused on what I cared about when it came to displaying stuff.

@cfjedimaster Your demo is great. I just believe that Netlify has restricted access to anything before the one month period. When I used the API using my Firefox Dev tools, I couldn’t get any information back, as well as from your application. Perhaps your site has different rules if you can see some for yourself. I just activated it a moment ago and am trying to see if the team has any insight on why I might not be able to see any analytics previous. I’ll star your repo. You’ve done a fantastic job.

Thank you. Once Netlify officially releases the APIs, I want to do more.

Hi @elebumm! Welcome to netlify community.

Sorry we don’t have an exact date yet, but we can re-confirm that its still on the roadmap, so keep your eyes out for an update!

Wanted to follow up that while we have not increased retention lengths, you can now filter the whole dashboard for a day or week view in addition to the monthly view. More details here:
