Www.domain.com only as Primary domain with no apex domain set up on Netlify

Hi I’m in a catch 22 loop

I have a CNAME pointing at rpbw-main.netlify.app for the domain www.rpbw.com

I want to set this up as the primary domain and have the apex domain DNS with a redirect managed elsewhere.

When I try to set www.rpbw.com as the primary domain it will not let me as it responds ‘We’re provisioning a certificate for your site, you cannot change custom domains until that process completes’

I can see that others have had the same problem and that you can resolve at your side.

Help or guidance on this would be much appreciated.

Hi Djavco,

For the CNAME i can see that it is pointing to www.rpbw-main.netlify.app, you may just remove the www. and just leave it as rpbw-main.netlify.app and that should work. Also you may now do update and set the www.rpbw.com as primary domain.

Once completed just let the propagation to complete and that should resolve it
