Unable to set www as primary domain (2)

Hi!

My Netlify site is fantastic-kringle-b8f41a.

My custom domain is http://www.intelligent-artifice.com.

The documentation says to make www the primary domain, but when I select that I get the error message “Looks like something went wrong!” with no other details.

I have tried this numerous times.

I have set up a CNAME record and an ALIAS record, as described in the documentation.

I do not have additional A records (which was the cause of the same problem in a similarly-named thread.)

Thanks for any help!

Jurie

Hi @jurie :wave:t6: ,

Can you share a screenshot or what your site settings for domain is configured as? You should be able to change this in the UI.

The Netlify UI? Here it is:

This is what Netlify set up for me after I set my custom domain.

Hi @jurie,

Thanks for updating. Could you go to the custom domain page, click on Options and then click Set as primary domain?

If you see an error, could you please provide a screenshot of the error you’re seeing?

Hi Melvin.

The error was literally “Looks like something went wrong!”

But now it just works ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks.

Awesome @jurie :sparkles: thanks for coming back and letting us know your issue was resolved. Sometimes DNS issues just take time to sort itself out.
