@Netlify, during severe internet blackouts in Iran, your platform is blocking our only lifeline. Non-profit projects like #IR_NETLIFY on Edge Functions are human rights tools, NOT malicious. Please stop blocking us! Help us stay connected.:folded_hands:

as an Iranian citizen we need urgent help from you , according ti netblock which is a worldwide internet tracker we have no internet for more than 3 month , the netlify edge servers were our only hope for reaching out to internet. please help us in this fight against those who suppressed the freedom of speech

Dear Netlify team, we are facing extreme internet restrictions in Iran right now. Tools built on your platform, like #IR_NETLIFY, are not cyber threats—they are our only windows to the free world and open education. Please show flexibility and support for the Iranian developer community during these dark times. Don’t block our lifeline.

Outrageous situations like these, imposed by the IRI government, have become unbearable for people. Projects such as IR-Netlify are not malicious or abusive. After months of internet blackouts and heavy restrictions in Iran, these projects have become one of the last remaining hopes for people who urgently need access to a free Internet for almost any type of normal use not for harmful or unlawful purposes.

I sincerely ask the large Netlify team and the people managing the platform to pay attention to our situation and sympathize with the problems we are dealing with. Please make a choice that benefits people instead of making their struggles even more painful . For many of us, free Internet access is no longer a luxury, but a necessity.

I am a person living in Iran, and I have used Netlify to access the free internet. The authorities are trying to silence our voices and create a digital blackout so that we cannot freely express our opinions online.

I am directly asking the Netlify team to reconsider the suspension of accounts that were used for this purpose and to help make free access to the internet available for Iranians living under a dictatorship. Iranians are human beings, just like everyone else. Access to the internet is a fundamental right, yet in our country even basic rights are often denied.

For the last time, I sincerely ask: please allow access for Iranians. These projects do not pose a cybersecurity threat to any corporation. We are simply ordinary people trying to reach a free and open internet.

Thank you, Netlify team.

Dear Netlify Please do this and don’t ban this project. We need it.

We in Iran are forced to use your services to access a free internet. The national internet has completely blocked global access, and Netlify is now our only way to connect to the outside world.
We will do our utmost to repay your kindness. Please be assured that our usage does not harm your site in any way, and we are not malicious. We simply hope you can help us maintain this connection.
Please believe that we are like prisoners trapped in our country’s political prison – and this situation applies to our entire nation.
We beg you, please help us keep our connection with you.

This project doesn’t pose a threat to your Terms of Service directly; it’s only a way for people to access the internet online. Every day I wake up, I am scared that the government could close the access itself, but I am very disappointed that your team, Netlify, has closed access for many, many Iranian people. Regarding Iranians, we are desperate, and the internet is our true right.

We appreciate netlify and it’s free plan :folded_hands:

I ask for a compromise if netlify cannot afford enough free plans for users

Please netlify we need this:sob::folded_hands:

As another Iranian user, I just want to say this project truly matters for many of us.

For a lot of people here, these kinds of tools are not about breaking rules or abusing services — they are simply one of the few remaining ways to access the open internet, educational resources, developer communities, and global communication during heavy restrictions.

I sincerely hope Netlify can consider the humanitarian side of this situation and find a balanced solution instead of a full shutdown.

Thank you to the developers and everyone trying to keep access to information alive.
