Subject: SSL Certificate Invalid – tevver dot com down with ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID after Google account deletion/reinstatement
Site & Account Details
- Custom domain: tevver dot com (also www dot tevver dot com)
- Primary Netlify account: stuart.riddick at tevver dot com
- Secondary Netlify account: lewis.brown at tevver dot com
- Netlify project ID: inquisitive-llama-263a95
The Problem
Our website tevver dot com is currently down with the following error in all browsers:
Your connection is not private – net::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID
When attempting to add tevver dot com as a custom domain on the project under stuart.riddick at tevver dot com, we receive this error:
tevver dot com or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team.
This confirms the domain is currently held on the lewis.brown at tevver dot com team/account.
Root Cause
The Google Workspace account lewis.brown at tevver dot com was deleted in error by Google and has since been reinstated. This account is linked to a Netlify team that owns the DNS management for tevver dot com. The disruption appears to have caused the SSL certificate to become invalid, taking the site down entirely.
What We Need
We need Netlify support to either:
- Transfer tevver dot com from the lewis.brown at tevver dot com team to the stuart.riddick at tevver dot com team so everything is consolidated under one account, or
- Reissue and renew the SSL certificate on the lewis.brown at tevver dot com account as an immediate fix to restore the site while the transfer is arranged
Urgency
tevver dot com is our primary business website and is fully inaccessible to all visitors. Every hour it remains down has direct commercial impact. Any expedited support would be greatly appreciated.
