Today I tried to create a URL record for a redirect and deleted the NETLIFY record that pointed to 3stadt.netlify.app (just the ip4). Turns out, URL records are not doable, which is fine.
I just can’t add back the domain for the site. I gathered from other posts that I either need to delete and re-add the domain, or someone from team netlify can restore the entry.
Since I have a couple of sites and DNS entries, could you be so kind and add the entry back @team? That would be spectacular. <3
remove the domain for the site’s custom domain settings (found under Site Name > Settings > Domain management > Custom domains). Then add the custom domain back again in the same site.
Doing this will recreate the missing Netlify type DNS records
Will this disrupt other netlify sites? I have several subdomains, those are also netlify sites.
One of them has a few thousand visitors a day, and I would rather not break anything further and pull it offline by removing the domain and re-adding it.
Hi! This will not disrupt your other sites as long as they are not part of that domain, or a subdomain of it. Let me know if you have any other questions!
These sites are all on subdomains of the domain in question.
Currently, I don’t want to risk destroying these too, so I will just leave it as is and look for another solution.
I was hoping the NETLIFY record could be restored somehow.
