Report Abuse for a netlify site

Hello,

I have seen bots on instagram use netlify sites. I haven’t gone to these sites as they probably have malware, but is there an email or contact form I can fill out to report these sites?

If you send an email over to fraud@netlify.com (with no CCs) with the infringing site name(s) then the appropriate team can handle that request!

This e-mail doesn’t even work. We need this phishers out of here. Please provide a valid e-mail to report fraud/phishing/malicious content.

Thank you very much for your prompt response. I already did that. One more question regarding this topic. How long does it usually take for the support team to check the report and take appropriate action? I am sure that there might also be other users who are interested on this information.

In my experience Netlify’s Support Team respond to Fraud/Abuse reports very quickly.

Apparently, this address does not want me to forward spam messages sent from Netlify users to it, as it rejects them as spam. Should I even bother forwarding messages, or is simply copying their project subdomain into an otherwise pristine message sufficient?

Edit: Also, pardon replying to an old topic, but this exact topic is the first thing that shows up on Google when searching for how to report fraud perpetrated through Netlify accounts.

Hi @kode54 :wave:t6: welcome to the Netlify community and thank you for brining this topic to light! Our current process is the following:

  1. Go to the Netlify support form at netlify.com/support.
  2. Fill out the support form, providing specific details about the site you’re reporting. Make sure to include:
  • The site name or URL
  • The reason for reporting (e.g., fraud & abuse)
  • Any relevant evidence or information
  1. In the “Site name” field of the form, enter the name of the site you’re reporting.
  2. Use the email address associated with your Netlify account when filling out the form.
  3. Submit the form to send your report to our fraud and abuse team

If you can’t do that you can write in on our forums and I can escalate accordingly so our team can investigate.

Thanks, I’ve done that already now. I probably should have indicated as such in my post, except I made the post before I filed the report.
