Hi Netlify team,
I own the domain promptline.ca, registered through Squarespace. I’m trying to add it as a custom domain to my project promptlinewebsite (promptlinewebsite.netlify.app), but I get this error:
“promptline.ca or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team.”
Neither I nor my co-founder own or have access to that team. My co-founder tried adding the domain from his own Netlify account and got the same error. The domain has never used Netlify’s nameservers. It currently uses Squarespace nameservers (nsb1–nsb4.squarespacedns.com), so the DNS zone on the other team appears to be orphaned.
I’m happy to verify ownership with a TXT record. Could you let me know the exact record name and value you need, and then release the DNS zone so I can add promptline.ca and www.promptline.ca to my project?
Thank you!
