Newly acquired domain can not be set up in Netlify (blocked by other user)

I have just registered a new domain at an external registrar.
The new domain is hashtools.io

When trying to add this domain to a newly created Netlify site (https://hashtools-io.netlify.app)
I get the following error message: " hashtools.io or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team."

I suspect the previous owner of the site has this domain still somewhere in his configuration.

It should be possible to add the domain to your account and/or site now. However, if you still see any errors, please let us know.
