New domain, getting the dreaded ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR

My netlify site name is “davidgranadoisooo.netlify.app”.

I bought the domain name “davidgranadois.ooo” from Dynadot. The name servers are pointed at Netlify. Netlify is handling my DNS, all I see are NETLIFY records in my dashboard. I have www redirecting to my apex. The site itself is a static site that has built with no problems.

I’m getting a ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR error from the multiple browsers I try. My work laptop, my home desktop, my phone, my friend’s laptop on a different network. I’ve refreshed my LetsEncrypt cert and tried again a couple of days later, still getting that error.

If I access the davidgranadoisooo.netlify.app site I can see its content no problem.

Here’s the output of a dig command, if it helps:

❯ dig +all davidgranadois.ooo

That looks like a Cloudflare IP.

Any ideas?

EDIT: I’ve searched through the support forum. The previous problems and solutions don’t apply: I don’t have extra DNS records (that I can see), I’ve tried on multiple, independent networks, I don’t have anything going on in my netlify.toml, etc. I’m stumped!

Your site seems to load and work fine.

Thanks for checking.

I asked a different coworker and he can see the site as well! I wonder if I’m the victim of some kind of DNS caching on the machines I tested before.

Argh, sorry for the noise.
