Netlify site unreachable from Egypt without VPN (custom domain and netlify.app)

My site is deployed on Netlify and uses Netlify DNS.

Symptoms:

  • Custom domain and .netlify.app both time out from Egypt.
  • Works immediately through VPN.
  • Works from Australia.
  • DNS resolves correctly using Google DNS.
  • curl to HTTPS times out after ~42 seconds.
  • Multiple users in Egypt reproduce the issue.
  • tracert stalls after leaving the local network.
  • The resolved IPs include 63.176.8.218 and 35.157.26.135.

This appears consistent with other recent reports from Egyptian users. Could you investigate whether the assigned edge or routing for these endpoints is currently unreachable from Egyptian ISPs?

I am experiencing the same issue from Egypt with both zafriqon.com and zafriqon-app.netlify.app. Both fail without VPN, including over mobile hotspot, but work immediately through VPN on the same computer. Deployment, Netlify DNS, and HTTPS are all healthy. I have also opened a detailed report here:
