I am facing dns issues and my website has been down for more than 24 hours now. Let me tell you what I did and what issue I am facing in a step wise explanation.
- My netlify site name is pornix.netlify.app (working as expected without errors).
- Custom domain is pornix.in (not working), shows DNS errors.
What I did (incase I did something wrong so that you can point 'em out)
- Bought a new custom domain (pornix.in) from godaddy.
- Added my custom domain to netlify using name servers.
- Made this domain as a primary domain for my website running on pornix.netlify.app.
- Under 15 minutes, my website started working on pornix.in without any DNS issues or errors.
- Added one TXT in DNS records in netlify from google search console.
- Website then gets verified at google search console.
- pornix.in still works (Incase you wonder if google TXT causing the error) even after hours of adding that TXT DNS record from google.
- Made some minor changes to my website and pushed the code to github.
- Changes reflected in pornix.netlify.app but pornix.in stopped working with DNS errors.
Please help me fix this somebody. My website is down for more that 24 hours now.

So what do I have to do, is it a problem from GoDaddy and do I need to contact customer support from their end?
Yes, that’s literally what the text says.
They are telling me to add IP address in DNS records… they said that please check with netlify as the name servers are not set of godaddy so they cannot do that themselves. I am a newbie so please help me out sir.
A part of our conversation:
Godaddy: Could you please check with the hosting provider, as the nameserver is not with the GoDaddy we can update the IP address from my end.
Me: So do i have to ask the IP address to add to the DNS records from netlify right?
Godaddy: Yes, as the hosting and nameservers are not with GoDaddy please check with hosting provider to update the IP
Please provide them this output:
whois pornix.in | grep "Domain Status:"
Domain Status: clientRenewProhibited http://www.icann.org/epp#clientRenewProhibited
Domain Status: clientDeleteProhibited http://www.icann.org/epp#clientDeleteProhibited
Domain Status: clientUpdateProhibited http://www.icann.org/epp#clientUpdateProhibited
Domain Status: clientTransferProhibited http://www.icann.org/epp#clientTransferProhibited
Domain Status: serverHold http://www.icann.org/epp#serverHold
Domain Status: serverTransferProhibited http://www.icann.org/epp#serverTransferProhibited
Domain Status: addPeriod http://www.icann.org/epp#addPeriod
The most important line being:
Domain Status: serverHold http://www.icann.org/epp#serverHold
If that’s the response their Support gave, they are simply blaming us for their problems. They should be able to check this themselves before blaming it on Netlify.
