Noticed my topic was deleted after being marked as solved? I feel it’s a little suspicious it was just deleted as it was a bad look. But I had some genuine concerns with support here at Netlify and the product itself. The ticket was called Netlify serverless function bundling failing with “Maximum Call Stack size exceeded…” If you still have it stored, you’ll be able to see why I feel his response was quite inappropriate. Thanks!
@dronavallipranav I don’t see anything wrong with the reply that you received.
It reads as factual to me, I don’t see anything that I’d interpret as impolite.
I don’t see your thread, so it is possible it got deleted, perhaps due to your own reply.
However I’ve made many critical posts of Netlify over the years and not encountered that myself.
They do sometimes lock/unlist threads that are ‘uncomfortable’ or paint them in a negative light though.
Which while not ideal, is their prerogative, since it’s their business and forum.
By your own admission the issue has been solved for you by going elsewhere.
So, what are you now ultimately seeking?
You just want to raise that you weren’t given a platform for your concerns?
(If your thread was deemed a duplicate of some other more active thread, it may also just have been considered unnecessary - e.g. better to have everyone with the issue focused in one place.)
You are right, This isn’t social media and I shouldn’t treat it like such. Just came across this photo and wanted to look at the thread again to see it was simply deleted to my surprise, which did kind of upset me originally, but yes that being said, I think I’ll just resolve this issue as I myself am not sure what I intend to get out of this post.
That being said there wasn’t much context in this picture, I explained my problem, I was given a link to another thread and no other info, and then I said the message at the top. I never once mentioned a solution and I don’t think I rambled enough to warrant that kind of response. I hope you can see how juxtaposing “I never mentioned a solution” with “The \”Solution\” is to wait.” with solution in double quotes might come off as a little impolite or condescending. But yea we all have bad days, and I suppose today is just one for me.
I checked out the original post and can confirm it was unlisted because it was a duplicate thread. The original thread Hrishikesh mentioned is still viewable.
