“I’m trying to connect my GoDaddy domain muddie.in to my Netlify site muddie-app.netlify.app, but Netlify says the domain is already managed by another team.”

Hi Netlify team,

My domain: muddie.in
Registrar: GoDaddy

I am trying to connect the domain to my site:

But Netlify shows this error:

“muddie.in or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team.”

I do not have access to the previous team.

Please release the DNS zone so I can connect it to my project.

Hey there, this is happening because the custom domain you’re trying to use already exists on Netlify under a different account.

Please verify domain ownership and let us know by responding here when that’s done. If the verification is successful we can remove the domain from the other account so you can use it on yours.
