How can I get instant SSL on sites?

I moved my domain prentus.co to Netlify DNS yesterday because I wanted to get instant SSL for my subdomains. My customers will be deploying to these custom domains so instant SSL is important.

For some reason, it still takes about 15 minutes before the certificate comes through and the “site not secure” warning stops showing for users accessing the site.

I have a wildcard DNS record for *.prentus.co 3600 A 75.2.60.5

What can I do to get instant certificates and prevent the warning?

@JohnPMills - i have asked a Support Engineer on the best way to do this to minimize downtime. He comes on shift in a few hours so we will have a response for you soon. @blaqinq4ksoftwash876 - your case is a bit different if you lost access to the netlify acct. (we can maybe get you that back). I’d recommend you go through these steps - assuming that you weren’t using Netlify DNS you should be able to create a DNS record that proves you own that domain, like so: if you were using Netlify DNS…
