Domain stuck on “Preparing your domain”

Hi Netlify Support,

My custom domain covenantindustries.com has been stuck on “Preparing your domain” for more than 24 hours.
The www.covenantindustries.com subdomain works correctly (CNAME points to my Netlify site and SSL is provisioned), but the apex/root domain (covenantindustries.com) does not issue an SSL certificate and only shows ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR.

Details:

  • Registrar: GoDaddy

  • Current DNS for apex (covenantindustries.com):

    A @ 75.2.60.5
    A @ 75.2.70.75
    A @ 99.83.190.102
    A @ 75.2.0.94

  • Current DNS for www:

    CNAME www → bright-cajeta-3803bd.netlify.app

  • I have already removed and re-added the domain several times, and the DNS has fully propagated (verified on dnschecker.org).

Could you please clear/reset the domain verification cache on your side so that the SSL certificate can be provisioned for the root domain?

Thank you!

@Bar_Cov Where did you get all the A records you’ve inserted from?

The only one mentioned in the documentation is 75.2.60.5:

https://docs.netlify.com/manage/domains/configure-domains/configure-external-dns/#configure-an-apex-domain

The 99.83.190.102 record is definitely incorrect, see:
