Dns propriety validation (?) with google site indexation

Hi, I try to register my website on google so that it gets indexed. They talk about indexing a domain or whatnot, I don’t understand anything about it.
Am I right to assume that it would work in netlify with a custom domain name ?

Select the type of record:
TXT (recommended)
[Read more](https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9008080#domain_name_verification)
Connect to your domain name provider (godaddy.com or namecheap.com, for example)
Copy the TXT record below into the DNS configuration of finalworldview.netlify.app
Press Validate below

Hey @00120260a

You don’t have the option to validate a netlify.app site using a TXT record as the ability to add/change records for the netlify.app is not available to users.

If you are using a custom domain you have the option to add a TXT record for verification.
