DNS configuration for main/subdomain

Hi

Unfortunately - in order to have some domain hosted by netlify i have to configure NS entry instead of just A entry . It’s not a problem for a subdomain, but if i will configure NS entries for main domain – website.com this will destroy my others subdomains like something.website.com

What is the best approach to host main domain on netlify and have other subdomains hosted somewhere else ?

No you don’t. You can configure external DNS. You then online need configure an A record for the apex and CNAME for the www. Check out
