I’m encountering an issue with my custom domains after my account was suspended. On the suspended account, I have several domain names attached. Now, when I try to use those domains with a different account, I’m getting this error: “custom_domain is owned by another account.”
I’m unsure how to proceed and need assistance to resolve this problem. Is there any way to regain control over my domains and fix this issue?
Thank you so much for your help.

Best regards,
Footnote: The suspension of my previous account was unexpected, and I am still trying to understand the exact reason behind it. However, my primary concern right now is resolving the domain issue. Any insights on both matters would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Nathanmartin, for your helpful response. Your examples of similar issues with Netlify account suspensions and bans were informative, and your suggestion to seek an alternative hosting provider for legitimate content is practical advice that helped me avoid wasting time. I appreciate you taking the time to help me out!
Hi, the account you wrote in on is not suspended. So i’m assuming you had two accounts on Netlify which would be against our terms of service hence the suspension on your other account.
I wanted to let you know that I have moved on from this issue and changed my use cases, so I no longer require assistance.
While I understand the need to watch for violations, overzealous algorithmic enforcement can sometimes have unintended consequences, especially at the scale of a generous free tier platform like Netlify, Vercel, Cloudflare Pages, etc. This is an inherent challenge as more tech providers aim to balance open access with AI moderation.
In any event, I appreciate you taking the time to look into this, but I am no longer focused on getting the issue resolved. Thank you again for your help.
