Can't reset Identity email templates

When someone customises their Identity email templates but then wants to reset them to the default, it seems we’re not able. Here’s a video I uploaded to Vimeo so you can see what I mean.

I’m on Chrome v100. Same problem in Firefox too.

The issue in this case is because we no longer allow the modification of Identity Email templates on Starter plan teams. The existing template cannot be change for that reason.

Our support team can revert the template to the default if that is what you want to do. If so, would you please confirm and let us know what site to change this for?

While it’s not intuitive, you can go back to using the default templates by either:

  1. Adding a path to a file that doesn’t exist or
  2. Replacing the path with a string like “Using Default Template.”
