Hello,

Can we use Netlify free plan for commercial purposes?

ex:

  • Hosting client websites (ex: e commerce stores, portfolios and etc ), where client is not charged for hosting on Netlify (ie: no reselling)

  • Hosting startup websites

According to Gatsbyjs docs

Their free tier includes unlimited personal and commercial projects, HTTPS, continuous deployment from public or private repos, and more.

There was an old question about asking for using Netlify free plan for client projects , where answer was hosting client projects is okay but no reselling with free plan.

But ToS can change over time so I am asking this on July 2021 to be sure.

Hi @kaushalyap,

Yes, you can use the free plan for commercial projects. What ToS means that you can’t resell it (as you’ve mentioned you won’t be charging for hosting), but you can definitely charge your customers for your services in building, and maintaining their websites.
