SSL Not Enabling After 48 Hours – DNS & Inactive Zone Issue

My SSL hasn’t been enabled even after 48 hours. My domain coderuss.com is managed on Hostinger, where I’ve added the required A record (75.2.60.5) and CNAME (www → coderuss1.netlify.app) for Netlify. However, SSL is still not working.

Netlify support mentioned something about an inactive DNS zone causing issues, but I’m not sure where to delete it. Could the old CNAME records for my email on Hostinger be causing conflicts? I want to keep my email working while enabling SSL.

Any help would be appreciated!

HI @devhaziq,

Thanks for reaching out!

I’m seeing a IPv6 record that may be causing the issue:

host coderuss.com
coderuss.com has address 75.2.60.5
coderuss.com has IPv6 address 2a02:4780:6:1861:0:1797:1d52:3
coderuss.com mail is handled by 50 mx3.zoho.com.
coderuss.com mail is handled by 5 mx1.hostinger.com.
coderuss.com mail is handled by 20 mx2.zoho.com.
coderuss.com mail is handled by 10 mx2.hostinger.com.
coderuss.com mail is handled by 10 mx.zoho.com.

We don’t support IPv6 when using our load balancer IP address. Please remove the AAAA record and then click the Verify DNS configuration button here.

Hi Melvin,

Thanks for your response.

I have deleted the AAAA records as you suggested. Also, I noticed that my email is no longer managed on Zoho but on Hostinger instead. Should I go ahead and delete the Zoho MX records from my DNS settings?

Additionally, I clicked the “Verify DNS Configuration” button, but after a few minutes, it asks me to verify again. This keeps happening repeatedly, and the status still shows “Waiting for DNS propagation”. Can you explain why this might be happening and if there’s anything else I need to do?

Looking forward to your response.

Best,
Haziq

Hi @devhaziq,

Thanks for following up.

I do see that the SSL certificate has been provisioned here:

Provisioning of the SSL certificate can take some time as the DNS changes have to propagate.
