Please help release kandhasenaipadai.com from a deleted Netlify team

Hello Netlify Support,

I own and control the domain kandhasenaipadai.com.

The domain was previously used by my friend on his Netlify account. His Netlify account/team has since been deleted.

I have now created my own Netlify account and am trying to add kandhasenaipadai.com, but Netlify shows this error:

“kandhasenaipadai.com or one of its subdomains is already managed by Netlify DNS on another team.”

The domain is currently delegated to these Netlify DNS nameservers:

I have access to the domain’s registrar/DNS management and can add the required verified-for-netlify TXT record to prove ownership.

Could you please help verify my ownership and release the existing Netlify DNS zone/team association so I can add the domain to my current Netlify account?

I’ve created this support thread for domain ownership verification:

I have access to the domain registrar, but the domain is currently delegated to the old Netlify DNS nameservers from the deleted team, so I cannot add the TXT record through the old Netlify account.

Could you please advise how I should add the `verified-for-netlify` TXT record, or manually verify the domain ownership and release the old DNS zone?

Hi Team,

The domain is no longer delegated to Netlify DNS — it now uses ns1/ns2/ns3.systemdns.com, and I have added the ownership record:

verified-for-netlify.kandhasenaipadai.com TXT → kandhasenaipadai.netlify.app

Please purge the stale DNS zone from the old team so I can connect the domain.
