Not displaying the environments on github repo

Hi,

I have created a new team and a New github Org and made the first test deployment by pushing to github.
Everything worked fine.

My question though is that does netlify show the production / preview URLs on the github repo, under deployments similar?
I can see the urls / results of checks when making a PR that it links to the preview URL. but would be good to quickly have the deployment logs displayed directly in github.

I am not 100% sure but I think it used to be there previously, or is it only available with Vercel ?

We have never “exported” our logs to a Git Provider - just linked to them from those notifications. The log may have sensitive details in it like API tokens, so we would not post them to a potentially public location like your GitHub repo

Hi,

Not the deployment logs sorry, Something like Activity logs.
And especially links to the deployments from git repo.
This is what Vercel has for example (attached pictures). I thought Netlify also has/had similar feature?

Also the environments links to the deployment ‘activity log’ , well not actual logs but shows the deployment activities right in github.

ah, thanks for the picture! I was thinking of something very different, so that was quite helpful.

I think the reason you don’t see our notifications there, is that our service does not use the GitHub Deployments API, so we wouldn’t show up like that, just on PR’s

There is an open feature request to migrate to that functionality to which I’ve added your vote!

Hi!
I’m interested in the same feature, where can I find the feature request? If it’s internally, please add a vote from me.

Hi @Mikael_Karlsson,

We’ve added your vote. Thank you for your reponse.

Any update on this? I’m also interested in this feature.

Hey @rmenai,

No update so far. As said above, we’d post an update if/when this is done.

I’d like to vote for this feature. This is a must have feature for large OSS applications with multiple deployment environments - helps in discovery and navigation via GitHub repository.

Hi @liyasthomas! Welcome back to the forums! :wave:t6: We are so glad you’re here. Thank you for letting us know you are interested in this feature request. We really appreciate your feedback.
